St. Rose of Lima Chapter-in-Formation at Sacred Heart Church

Meeting time: Second tuesdays from 6pm-8pm (Begins with Mass)

Location: Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Parish Hall

Do you feel drawn to go deeper in your love for Christ, His Church, and the life of the mind? Are you seeking a way to unite prayer, study, and apostolic life while remaining fully rooted in your family, work, and parish?

The Lay Dominicans (also called the “Dominican Laity” or “Third Order of St. Dominic”) are men and women who share in the mission and spirituality of the Order of Preachers. Following the charism of St. Dominic, we strive to contemplate the Truth in order to share it with others—in our homes, workplaces, parishes, and communities.

Our chapter is grounded in a life of:

  • Prayer rooted in the liturgy and the Dominican tradition

  • Study of Sacred Scripture, theology, and the teachings of the Church

  • Fraternity marked by genuine friendship and mutual support

  • Apostolic Mission, bringing the light of Christ into the world

As Lay Dominicans, we do not withdraw from ordinary life; rather, we seek to sanctify it. Our vocation is to be witnesses to Christ in the midst of the world, formed by a tradition that has given the Church saints, scholars, preachers, and martyrs for over 800 years.

Whether you are discerning a deeper spiritual commitment or simply curious about Dominican spirituality, you are warmly invited to visit one of our meetings. Come, listen, ask questions, and see if God may be calling you to walk this path of truth, prayer, and joyful preaching. Though, we are not formally receiving new Postulants until October 2026.
